Baramulla, February 04 (KNO) : Police on Monday claimed to have arrested an Over Ground Worker (OGW) in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district and recovered one hand grenade and other incriminating material from his possession. Police with assistance of Army and CRPF laid a joint random NAKA yesterday at Daulatpora, Kreeri and arrested one person identified as Hazaif Ahmed Bhat, son of Mohd Shafi Bhat of Saloosa Kreeri, officials told KNO. “During initial investigation, it was revealed that he has been an active conduit of proscribed Pakistani outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad operating in Sopore and Baramulla areas,” they said, adding that police has recovered one hand grenade and other incriminating material from his possession. He has been arrested in case FIR number 78/2018 under section 18, 19 UA (P) Act, 3/4 Exp. Sub. Act of PS Kreeri. Further investigation into the matter is going on, officials said.(KNO)
